What's New With The Personality Budgeting Program ?

The Personality Budgeting Program has come to be loved by people around the word. One of the key reasons for this popularity is that the program is constantly being updated in response to users suggestions and changing conditions.

Released 17th November 2007

• Minor changes to the way interest is calculated in the Credit Card Calculator for short term fortnightly repayments.

Personality Budgeting Program Version 4D

Released 29th June 2007

• Significant changes to Home Page to make navigation even easier. With the addition of extra features over the past few versions of the program had resulted in the home page becoming too cluttered. Display and graphics specialists were consulted to help simplify the design.
• Changes to layout of how you select the frequency in both deposits and bills. The new dropdown lists simplify the process and make the program even easier to use. (This change should be especially appreciated by people who are colourblind as the new pick lists are easy to read.)
• Modifications to the way changes to income are calculated. From a user's perspective it is unlikely you will notice these changes though when you need to change an income the process is now simpler.

This upgrade is all about ease of use and making the program even more intuitive.

• Major update of the "Credit Card Calculator" in response to requests for a broader loan repayment calculator. Now you can use the "Credit Card Calculator" for all discovering your escape plans for any type of loan including home loans and car loans.

• The most amazing version to date. Easy to use and yet again better than ever.
• This version fixes the error from version 4a
• Additions to the Predicting Needs section so that predictions can be made over longer periods of time.

NOTE: A problem has become evident in the Day-To-Day section of this version. To overcome the problem you may either update to version 4aa or use the special patch. Using the patch means that you do not have to reenter your "Bills" account details. Unfortunately with either option you will need to reenter your Day-To-Day details

Download the patch and install as if reinstalling the program.

Upgrade to version 4aa

Version 4 Released - huge update with great new features and even more reports. Version 4 represents the greatest step forward for "Personality Budgeting" since version 3 was released.

Released 11th April 2007

• NEW "Overview" section allows you to see what is happening in all areas of the program in a single screen and report. Now you can see all your Bills, deposits, income and Day-To-Day expenses for a pay cycle on a single scren. You asked for it and now it is here.
• Updated and expanded introductory section included more detail about the Day-To-Day account.
• 36 New Reports for Bill Account, Day-To-Day account and for Income. (These new reports allow you to view your information isn ways that are meaningful to you and are the result of requests from Accountants and Financial Planners.)
• Reports now feature summary option that sorts the details into categories and summarises how much each section has cost.
• New way of grouping bills according to their categories makes interpreting your spending even easier.
• Day-To-Day account now allows you to be working on the next pay cycle and automatically updates as you change the current pay cycle.

Released 2nd March 2007

• Day-To-Day now shows figures up to 9999.99 This allows for larger amounts to be shown. The change is as a result of customer feedback.
• Deposits are now categorised as being related to current income or unrelated. This allows deposits from other sources not to compromise the available money in the Day-To-Day Account.
• Various cosmetic updates.

Updated 30th Oct 2006

• Significant updates to the "Crdit Card Calculator". The calculations now include the proposed finishing month for each of the calculations. The Credit Card Calculater interface (layout) has also been upgraded.
• Upgraded Activation Key Page that has been simplified and made easier to understand.
• Changes to the wording of the "Predicting Needs" responses to make the result options to calculations clearer. (NOTE:This section of the program is proving a favourite with many users.)

It is strongly suggested that people with program versions earlier than 3W update to the current version of the program.

How to Update your Program

Updating your program is simple IF you follow the following suggestions and one rule. Do not have more than one copy of the program open at the same time.

1. Download and install the new version of the program.
2. Try some test figures so you are happy with how it works.
3. Use the "Reset" button on the Home Page top clear out your test numbers and close your new program.
4. Open your old program and print reports including "This Year" in the Bill Account and also print the current Day-To-Day screen and the income report for the year.
5. Close your old program.
6. Use highlighters to highlight the first time each bill shows on the bill account report.
7. Enter the "Bills" once each in the new program. Do the same with the Day-To-Day and Income details.

All up it should take about half an hour to change to the new version.
